What Should We Pay Attention To When Opening Plastic Molds?

1. Post-processing of plastic mold materials is not required because: the plastic is soft, there is no need for special requirements such as hardness, and the heat treatment process will cause the mold to deform.

2.​ Cooling (diversion groove) is related to factors such as mold size, shape, plastic performance, and holding time.

3. The roughness level in the mold cavity should be "mirror level", otherwise the product will be difficult to demould, and it will be damaged due to excessive force when ejected. There are standard regulations for the roughness of the positioning pin, the mating surface and other parts.

4. The plastic mold must have sufficient rigidity, otherwise it will be deformed during mold clamping and holding pressure, resulting in "flash".

5.​ Select the exhaust position of the plastic mold and control the number of molds. Otherwise, the plastic parts will be unsatisfactory and the product will be "out of material".

6. The extrusion pipe should be selected reasonably so that the plastic reaches each extrusion port (equal flow diameter) evenly, and at the same time, there should be sufficient storage capacity to ensure that the plastic is supplied when the plastic shrinks.

7. The shrinkage coefficient of each raw material is different, and the mold must have a reasonable shrinkage rate.

8. Choose a reasonable decoding method and a reasonable position and number of ejector pins to ensure that the product is not damaged during ejection.

9.​ The installation method of the mold and the plastic opening machine must be reasonable, reliable and firm to prevent accidents caused by deformation during mold closing. And easy to disassemble.
